SHORT DESCRIPTION: This two-storey Liberty-style villa, with some innovative features of rationalist architecture, was commissioned by Sequals-born international boxer Primo Carnera in 1906. The ground floor still has the original furniture and décor from the 1970s. Upstairs is an exhibition of photographs, films and objects from the life of the world champion boxer. Carnera’s gym is also open to visitors.
In Sequals, mosaics, which have a long tradition in Friuli and date all the way back to Roman Aquileia, can be seen on the façades of various public and private buildings. Friulian emigrants have refined this art and created works that have made mosaics popular all over the world.
