SHORT DESCRIPTION: This ethnographic museum aims to protect and promote the heritage of the rural community of times gone by. Located on the square of Andreis, it houses artifacts from the daily life of the people who inhabited this small mountain village at the beginning of the 20th century, with a focus on old crafts (bone carving, carpentry, lumberjacking etc.). The rooms of the museum recreate the kitchen of an old Andreis house, a mountain dairy, a lumberjack’s camp, and display items of craftsmanship.
Oral sources were essential in reconstructing the function of individual objects. Local informants provided information about the techniques of ancient crafts that have disappeared, how objects and products were made and used.
Attached to the museum is “la Favria”, the smithy, which still preserves the original equipment of the village blacksmith.

Thanks to a contribution from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, a study has been made on the accessibility of this eco-museum cell.
