SHORT DESCRIPTION: The Association Claut House Museum "Dott. Eugenio Borsatti" was founded in 1987 after an anthropological study in the area with the aim of opening a museum dedicated to local traditions. The focus of the museum is the historical role of the women of Claut and of the whole Val Cellina.
In the past, they had to take care od the household, the agricolture, the work in the stables and had to go "fora pal mont" (out and around the world) as itinerant vendors, selling the wooden artifacts made by the local craftsmen during the winter months.
In addition to the museum, the village is a treasure chest of old houses that bear witness to the material heritage and way of life of past centuries. A centuries-old house, know as "Ciasa da fum", is the only medieval remnant in the village. It was purchased to serve as an additional museum venue. In this unique historical setting, the stories of the dignified modesty and existential courage of these people from the past are passed on to today's visitors.
Thanks to a contribution from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, a study has been made on the accessibility of this eco-museum cell.
