SHORT DESCRIPTION: The Antiquarium located in the village of Tesis was created to house the ancient artifacts that the Cellina Meduna Archaeological Group has recovered from the fields of the Friulian plains and foothills after plowing. The exhibits provide an insight into the life of the people who inhabited this area in ancient times. They include ornaments, agricultural tools, ruins of buildings, funerary urns and coins.
The Antiquarium not only houses the largest collection of Roman artifacts in the area north of Pordenone, but also exhibits dating from the Bronze Age to the early Middle Ages. Over the years, the museum has been expanded and enriched with more comprehensive information material, and now houses a section with finds from several funeral sites discovered in and around Arzene, Aviano, Montereale Valcellina, San Quirino and Spilimbergo.
