SHORT DESCRIPTION: This mountain village has been included in “Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages” since 2002. The local houses are mostly three to four storey buildings with high stone pillars from the ground to the roof, with charming wooden balconies and simple but fine arches. This style has been idyllically called "spontaneous architecture", but has a deeply rooted element of functionality, the result of centuries of wisdom from the people of this valley.
