SHORT DESCRIPTION: The Magredi are a natural area on the adge of the plain that extends towards the Friulian Dolomites. The permeability of the soil allows water to seep into the ground, making this area a wilderness. The local vegetation is steppe-like, similar to that of European moorlands. Despite their arid appearance, the Magredi are home to a variety of rare habitats with endemic species of plants are a remarkable variety of insects.
For a better understanding of the Magredi, a visit to the Observatory is recommended, where a series of educational sessions are held. Equally interesting is the mill on the canal by Vivaro, known as the "Mulin da la Miuta", whic still stands as a legacy of its last female miller.
