SHORT DESCRIPTION: The municipality of Arba celebrates its important citizen and benefactor Carlo di Giulian with a special exhibition. Having emigrated to the United States in 1910 at the age of sixteen, di Giulian founded the company "Standard Art Marbel and Tile Co" in 1922 and made a name for himself as a successful entrepreneur in the field of mosaic and terrazzo work, with commissions in Washington D.C., including a prestigious one for the White House. In the 1950s, he founded the "Fondazione Carlo di Giulian" in Arba, with a school that for many years attracted students from all over Friuli, some of whom went on to become successful entrepreneurs abroad.
The exhibition tells the story of the first years of the Foundation, from 1948 to 1962, through a collection of photographs, registers, archival material and a series of works of arts, authentic masterpieces created by the students and teachers of the school.
