SHORT DESCRIPTION: The mill, once owned by the Counts of Polcenigo, still stands on the Gorgazzetto canal and its history is linked to the development of the use of the water as a source of energy. On this original fulling site (the oldest sources date back to 1481), a water sawmill was built and then a water mill. It was sited outside thevillage as it was noisy and the processing of wool could pollute the water, making it unsuitable for domestic use. The building was in ruins when Luigi Lacchin bought it in 1903 and restored it. It was inherited by his wife, Teresa Curioni, and then passed from mother to daughter until the present owners Angela e Elena Sanchini. Inside the building there are various original artifacts related to both the flour production and woodworking: large millstones, gears, drive shafts, belts, blades etc. The mill serves now as a meeting place for the community of Polcenigo and neighboring villages and is the home of the local handicraft group, Borgo Creativo.
